Actress Shruti Haasan is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film ‘Waltair Veerayya’ and her absence from its recent event raised eyebrows. Some media reports claimed that the actress skipped the film’s pre-launch event due to mental problems as she is undergoing treatment. Now, Shruti has reacted to all such ‘baseless’ reports and informed everyone she was down with viral fever. She even slammed the reports saying over dramatization or flippant handling of such subjects is what makes people afraid to talk about mental health.
Taking to her Twitter handle, Haasan shared the screenshots of the article and wrote, “Ok so here's the thing, misinformation like this and the over dramatisation or flippant handling of such subjects is what makes people afraid to talk about mental health…Guess what? It doesn't work.” She added, ““I will always be a mental health advocate I will always promote taking care of myself in all aspects. Oh and…I had a viral fever so nice try get over yourselves and while you are at it please talk to a therapist. No really, please do. Nice try !! And Thankyou I’m recovering well from my viral fever.” ALSO READ: Shruti Haasan On Her Relationship With Beau Santanu Hazarika, Says, ‘I Like About Our Relation That We Are Not Perfect’
