The #MeToo wave that hit the Bollywood industry recently washed off many fake images of stars. A lot of Bollywood biggies got exposed and it unmasked the ugly side of the glamorous world. However, much before this movement began, there was one starlet who openly spoke about the harassment she faced on the sets. We are talking about an actress named Sabeeha who featured with Rajesh Khanna in the film Anokha Rishta in the year 1986.
It was the time when Rajesh Khanna had lost all his stardom. He wasn't the most bankable hero then, yet he managed to bag a few roles. However, he wasn't less of controversies. It was in 1986 that he was accused of improper conduct by Sabeeha who was just 15-years-old then. Sabeeha was the daughter of actress Amreeta who appeared in films like Mere Mehboob, Tumsa Nahin Dekha, and Goonj Uthi Shehnai. It was Amreeta who spoke about the alleged harassment her daughter faced on the sets of Anokha Rishta and she even stated that the director of the film almost raped her daughter in a hotel room.
It was for the first time that Rajesh Khanna was accused of something like this, and well, the stories remained confined only to gossip columns and nothing more. Saheeba's acting career could not take off very well and she only managed to bag a few small roles in films. She was seen in Akshay Kumar's film Khiladi as Deepak Tijori's girlfriend.
Rajesh Khanna was already in the news because he had married Dimple Kapadia and she was only 16-years-old. But the marriage fell apart and it was reported that as Rajesh Khanna prohibited Dimple from reviving her acting career, she parted ways with him.
