As we were going through our social media feed, we came across a rare picture of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with Late Former President of South Africa Nelson Mandela. The throwback picture appears to be from the Miss World competition in 1994 where Ash can be seen greeting Mandela with a warm smile
Before setting her foot and conquering the showbiz world with her beauty and charm, Aishwarya Rai has earlier conquered the world when she bagged the beauty pageant – Miss World title, battling with Sushmita Sen who took away the Miss Universe crown in 1994. However, why are we talking about it right now? Well, as we were going through our social media feed, we came across this rare picture of Aishwarya with Late Former President of South Africa Nelson Mandela.
This picture was shared by one of the Instagram accounts recently and they captioned it as, “When Aish represented India in Miss World & met Nelson Mandela Ji” Interestingly, this photo was already shared by the Miss World herself on her official Instagram account. The actress took to her Instagram account and posted a touching picture of her moment when she met Mandela. The picture was posted on Mandela’s 100th birthday which was on July 18, 2018, but now after 2 years, the picture has once again surfaced on the internet.
The blast from the past picture what appears to be the Miss World competition in 1994. In the picture, she can be seen greeting him. It was clicked during her Miss World pageant (1994) which was held in South Africa. Aishwarya was seen wearing ‘India’ stash and she won the title of Miss World in that year. The actress captioned the image, "Honoured, Privileged and Humbled."
Speaking of throwback pictures, just a couple of days ago, the heavily pregnant WWE star Nikki Bella took to Instagram and shared a special series of photos from her trip to India in 2007 and amongst her favourite pictures, she also shared a picture with the Miss World beauty and India’s top-rated actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
