Karan Johar is making his acting debut in Anurag Kashyap’s upcoming film Bombay Velvet. And maybe you know that Karan was not the first choice for the role. The original choice for the role of Kaizad Khambatta was Naseeruddin Shah. However, when Naseeruddin dilly-dallied over the role, Anurag cast Karan as the menacing villain.
Interestingly, when the filmmaker-turned-actor came on board for this movie, Naseeruddin was the first one to text him, saying: “This is the most inspired casting I have seen in my life.”
That sure is generous of Naseeruddin, dont you think?
Naturally, Karan was overwhelmed with the message.
