In 2013, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who is rarely spotted at any glamorous birthday parties, was seen posing with Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande at the Kai Po Che actor's birthday bash. It was a surprise party held by Ankita for her then boyfriend Sushant, and the actor was left totally numb when he saw Sanjay Leela Bhansali walking in the party.
To Zoom, Sushant had opened up on this and expressed how happy he was to meet and greet SLB at his birthday party. He said that he went numb and was thankful to SLB for making his presence felt. He said that SLB was very kind to join his birthday bash and give him his blessings.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali was among those who were interrogated by the police in Sushant's death case. Sushant Singh Rajput who appeared in films like Detective Byomkesh Bakshi, Shudh Desi Romance, Chhichhore and more, passed away on June 14. The actor reportedly took his own life by hanging himself from the ceiling fan in his apartment in Mumbai.
