Why Did Katrina Kaif Skip Ranbir Kapoor’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil's Screening?

Be it Bollywood parties or events- Karan Johar is always by Katrina Kaif’s side holding her tight and making sure she feels comfortable. Of course it goes without saying that Karan is protective of her buddy post her break-up.
So, when such a loyal friend invites you for the screening of a film which is so close to his heart and you skip it, it will surely make a headline. And so it did!
Well yes, we’re talking about the recent screening of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil which saw host of celebs coming in to see Karan’s magnum opus. The guest list included names like Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra, Arjun Kapoor, Karishma Kapoor and it could have had Katrina Kaif’s name as well on the list, had she not changed her mind otherwise.
Karan Johar picked up his phone to invite Katrina Kaif for the same screening. However, Ms Kaif chose to avoid it. Reason? Well, no brownie points to guess-Ranbir Kapoor’s presence at the screening. Ranbir attended the screening with Anushka Sharma.

A source close to the actress told us, ‘Karan Johar texted the screening invitation to Katrina Kaif but she kept herself away from it... For obvious reasons...The presence of Ranbir Kapoor at screening was the main issue... and that's the reason why Katrina preferred staying at her home than watching Ae Dil Hai Mushkil,’
FYI, even Aditya Roy Kapur was invited for the screening but he too was absent. Hope Karan Johar hosts a special screening for the new apparent close friends!
