One of the most awaited films of the year 2015 is Bombay Velvet.
The film starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar is one of the costliest films of 2015, and a lot is at stake especially for Ranbir and the film's director Anurag Kashyap.
We are only two days away from the film and a few questions race through the mind:
Has Anurag been able to handle a big canvas film?
The filmmaker who has so far dabbled in only small budget films has put his hands into a big extravaganza. Many other directors who make non-commercial cinema have never stepped into this zone. Will he justify the money spent?
Will Ranbir make a comeback?
Ranbir's Besharam was a disaster. The 33-year old actor was absent from the silver screen in 2014. His first film of 2015, Roy, flopped at the box-office. Add this to the fact that he was not the first choice to play Johnny Balraj role in Bombay Velvet. Anurag had approached bigger players like Hrithik Roshan and Aamir Khan with the idea to raise big money.
Will Anushka do a hat-trick?
After delivering spectacular performances in PK and NH10, all eyes are set on Anushka’s Rosie Noronha in Bombay Velvet. The PK actress has created a benchmark for herself and needs to live up to the expectations of the audience and critics.
Is Karan Johar the right choice as the baddie?
Karan Johar is doing a full-fledged role as Kaizad Khambatta in Bombay Velvet for the first time. Naseeruddin Shah was the first choice to play this character.
