This one is a blast from the past. As Manish Malhotra prepares to ring in his 50th year with a bash that will rival all others, we tell you about a broken friendship which has only been mentioned in whispers in Bollywood circles.
Karan Johar and Manish have been friends for decades now and a prominent name in their circle was fellow fashion designer Vikram Phadnis.

They could be spotted together in parties, surrounded by their famous clients including Kareena Kapoor, Karishma Kapoor,Malaika Arora and Urmila Matondkar.
Then some time ago Vikram stopped attending the parties where Manish would hang out. Even recently, both of them were invited to a star-studded terrace party and sources tell us that Vikram decided to skip the get-together even though he is close to the host.
They could be spotted together in parties, surrounded by their famous clients including Kareena Kapoor, Karishma Kapoor,Malaika Arora and Urmila Matondkar.
Then some time ago Vikram stopped attending the parties where Manish would hang out. Even recently, both of them were invited to a star-studded terrace party and sources tell us that Vikram decided to skip the get-together even though he is close to the host.

Unfortunately, Manish too didn't turn up because he was working on a project in Bangkok.
While a guest in the party inquired about Vikram's absence, this story came up.
It had so happened that Vikram used to attend the parties with a male model who caught Manish's eye. Manish decided to befriend the model and that did not go down well with Vikram.
And thus friends turned foes. And the relationship between the two designers is still sour even though the model has continued to work with Vikram.
So, will Manish and Vikram bury the hatchet on the former's 50th birthday? Watch this space.
