World Mental Health Day: Kangana Ranaut Says Judgementall Hai Kya Was Dragged To The Court By People Who Run ‘Depression Ki Dukan’
On World Mental Health Day, Kangana Ranaut has taken to social media to talk about her 2019 quirky film Judgmental Hai Kya, which was mired in controversy even before its release. The film co-starring Rajkummar Rao and directed by Prakash Kovelamudi, was earlier named as Mental Hai Kya. The name was changed after Indian Medical Association (IMA), along with the Indian Psychiatric Society (IPS) and Deepika Padukone’s The Live Love Laugh Foundation had written letters to the film’s makers, CBFC chief Prasoon Joshi, the Prime Minister’s office and former Information and Broadcasting Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore seeking removal of the teasers and a reconsideration of film’s title.

Taking to Twitter, Kangana told her fans and followers that Judgementall Hai Kya got lost but it’s a great watch. Kangana Ranaut wrote, “The film that we made for Mental Health awareness was dragged to the court by those who run depression ki dukan, after media ban, name of the film was changed just before the release causing marketing complications but it’s a good film, do watch it today #WorldMentalHealthDay”

Post Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, Kangana Ranaut had slammed and mocked Deepika Padukone’s depression post. She had Tweeted, “Let’s not forget they declared me a bipolar, forget bipolar I never had minor depression either, but I was helpless I didn’t know what to do to fight their claims they were too many in numbers and I was alone, how to prove my sanity? let’s not do this to people, let them be.”
