Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has joined the club of South actors who are making their highly-awaited Bollywood debuts. After Vijay Deverakonda, Naga Chaitanya, Rashmika Mandanna, and Nayanthara, Samantha is venturing into Hindi cinema. As per the latest report, the Pushpa actress is making her B-Town debut opposite Ayushmann Khurrana. Yes, you read that right! The project is said to be a commercial entertainer and it will be backed by Dinesh Vijan. Samantha had earlier wowed fans with her performance in Raj and DK’s web show 'The Family Man.'
Fans since then have been waiting to see the actress in a Hindi film. According to a report in PeepingMoon, Samantha has been offered a lot of Hindi films and web shows in the past 8-9 months but she is choosing the projects that excite her as an actor. And, Dinesh Vijan’s movie appealed to the actress and thus she decided to take it up. A source close to the development was quoted saying, “She has been offered dozens of films and web shows, but only a few of them could titillate her even for consideration. Dinesh Vijan’s film is one of the most exciting scripts Samantha has come across, and there is no way she could have passed it on. The report added that Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been part of the South industry for more than a decade. It was after earning praise and love for Manoj Bajpayee’s espionage thriller series, that she started contemplating her Bollywood career.
Meanwhile, speculations are also rife that Samantha has been approached for a film to be produced by actress Taapsee Pannu. The popular South actress will soon be debuting on Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee With Karan 7 with Akshay Kumar. The trailer featuring Samantha and Khiladi Kumar was shared on social media and it has left fans quite excited.
