Zareen Khan Makes It To Twitter's Trending List After Urging Fans To Use Indian Brands; Many Laud, While Others Churn Out Hilarious Memes
Ever since the Indian government announced a ban on 59 Chinese applications, including TikTok, everyone on the internet is urging people to switch to desi. This also includes Bollywood celebrities. From a very long time, we are coming across stars promoting Indian brands to spread awareness. Salman Khan's Veer co-star Zareen Khan was the latest one to do so, but little did she know that she would end up trending on Twitter for the very same reason? While many are lauding the actress, others just need a reason to make memes.

In a video shared by Zareen, she could be seen talking about travel companies. The actress revealed how most of them in India are funded by foreign companies, while also highlighting the losses that Indian-based travel companies face. The actress estimates it to be around seven lac crore. She then gives an Indian alternative by writing, "http://EaseMyTrip.com is 100% Indian portal plus they are cheaper than Other internationally funded portals! Be #VocalForLocal to save #7LacCroreKaKharcha !"

Reacting to the same, while a lot of people hail Khan for doing the right thing, others put up memes in regards to her trending on Twitter.

Take a look at the video:

Now, here are some reactions:

Prior to this, Suniel Shetty had promoted an Indian brand by sharing a video along with a tweet that read, "VocalForLocal, the actor captioned the clip, "Here’s to good health, during a time when that is our only answer. I’ve teamed up with @BodyFirstWellne to bring you the finest wellness essentials for great health. Clean, safe, they’re made for everyone because we’re made for more. #MadeForMore #VocalForLocal #SunielShetty."
