Zareen Khan On Salman Khan Fans Calling Her Bhabhi: 'After Hate Story Most Of Those Comments Stopped, Thank God For That'
Zareen Khan, who made her Bollywood debut opposite Salman Khan in the film Veer, was recently in the news for being body-shamed and trolled online for a recent picture that she had shared on Instagram. The picture, which showed stretch marks on her stomach, became the target for online trolling, and Zareen gave a befitting reply to the trolls. Recently, in an interview with ETimes, the actress was quizzed about a fun rumour she would like to spread about herself and her reply was, “A fun rumour I would like to spread is that Salman Khan is getting married to me.”

Now, in an interview with Bombay Times, Zareen was asked about the story behind her statement and she clarified saying that she was asked about the best rumour she'd like to spread about herself and there could be no better rumour than this one. She further added that there is nothing more to it. The actress was also asked about fans' fixation on Zareen and Salman Khan and how many of Bhai’s fans even called her Bhabhi. Zareen Khan laughed and replied, "Well, most of those comments stopped after I did Hate Story (laughs!). Thank God for that!"  The actress has revealed that Salman Khan fans have thankfully stopped calling her Bhabhi after her bold avatar in Hate Story.

She also talked about her transition to films from playing the girl-next-door to a bold role. The actress said that after Veer and her dance number Character Dheela Hai, nothing changed for her until Hate Story happened. She added, "Hate Story was not an easy decision to make because I didn’t know whether people would accept me in such a bold role. But it turned out to be one of my biggest films. Public perception changes with every film. That’s the best part of being an actor. The plan is to look different in every film."

Zareen Khan will next be seen playing the role of a lesbian in the film Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele directed by Harish Vyas. The film is scheduled for a Valentine's Day 2020 release.
