Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor Khan are both the leading fashionistas of Bollywood and seldom (if ever!) go wrong with their fashion choices. The two are known to put their best fashion foot forward at every event and do not disappoint even during casual public spotting. Currently, Kareena Kapoor Khan is in Melbourne, Australia to unveil the T20 World Cup Trophy and for tonight’s party, the gorgeous diva opted for a heavily embellished ivory lehenga by Narjis Official. Needless to say, the ensemble looked stunning on her and it instantly took us two years back to Aishwarya Rai’s similar lehenga from Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s wedding reception, that is very similar to the one worn by Kareena now.
Kareena Kapoor Khan looked like royalty in her ivory embellished lehenga by Narjis Official and her look is accessorized with jewelry from Tyaani by Karan Johar. Her heavily embroidered dupatta draped over the lehenga gives it a royal touch and the actress pulled off the look with utmost grace. On the other hand, Aishwarya Rai’s ivory lehenga that she wore at Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s wedding reception was a Manish Malhotra creation and was embellished with lace and pearl embroidery. While the silhouettes of both lehengas were similar, contrary to Kareena’s blouse, Aishwarya’s had long sleeves, and she accessorized her look minimally. Her lehenga, along with the dark lipstick and straight hair left open made her look stand out. We think both Kareena Kapoor Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan looked stunning in their respective lehengas, however for us, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan fared marginally better!
