If it's weird, awkward, a fashion sin or a style crime or not, I leave it on you to decide. For me, it's fine if you end up wearing similar or identical clothes at the same time, same place as someone else. You surely do not decide to intentionally twin (unless you actually do) while finalising what you're wearing to an event. And if some other person also picks the same outfit as yours, then it's just a co-incidence which should be enjoyed confidently. Remember how Kim Cattrall's character Samantha, in Sex And The City 2, rocks the show, when she ends up wearing the same golden dress like Miley Cyrus on the red carpet?
Coming to our home ground, Divyanka Tripathi and Sonnalli Seygall also found themselves in a similar situation like the above when last night, at the Dadasaheb Phalke International 2020 awards, both the ladies ended up wearing similar green ruffled sarees. Take a look:
While Divyanka styled her saree with a shimmery green sleeveless blouse and had a satin detailing through her saree, Sonnalli's was a simple plain cotton paired with a darker emerald green velvet full-sleeves blouse.
About their hair and makeup, well, both the ladies chose to let loose their tresses. Sonnalli wore a choker set with emerald and diamonds and Divyanka opted for just earrings, as there was already a lot of shimmer in her blouse.
Besides the fact that Divyanka and Sonnalli had similar looks for the night, I quite liked how the latter paired a velvet blouse with cotton saree. Divyanka should have may be cut down on the satin or the shimmer- both are just too much in the eye.
