The 5-day fashion extravaganza has come to an end. Here’s our fashion report on the stunners and the disappointments of the event. Was it Kareena Kapoor, was it Malaika Arora, newbie Disha Patani or someone else? Find out...
And the curtain is down! Last night, Kareena Kapoor Khan walked the ramp
for the Grand finale of Lakme Fashion Week 2017, thereby marking the end to the
season’s renowned fashion week.
So, it’s now time to scan through all 5 days and find out which
Bollywood lady set the runway on fire and who failed at the attempt.

Starting with the brand ambassador- Kareena Kapoor walked the ramp for
designer Anita Dongre. Wearing a white and gold ensemble, Kareena Kapoor didn’t
look as impressive as she did last year.

I felt the outfit was not the grand finale standard! It was a little too
simple for a grand finale showstopper!
Kareena’s make-up also looked a bit patchy. Her hair-do was simple but
interesting. This is Kareena’s first public appearance after her delivery but
Bebo walked the ramp with a lot of confidence.
In fact, I thought she looked much better in her casual avatar, right
when she arrived at the venue wearing this blue dress with an overcoat.
And here we have a showstopper outfit! Disha Patani looked regal in that
royal blue embroidered lehenga by designer Jayanti Reddy.

I loved her outfit. It complimented Disha to the T. The polki lines on
her neck added just the right amount of bling to the look. Her make-up and
hair-do was also perfect. She is without any doubt my best dressed celeb of the
fashion week.
Next on the list is Malaika Arora. Now, it’s very rare that Malaika
disappoints us. This time too, this diva reigned down the ramp like an elegant
lady in a Divya Reddy creation.

Wearing an orange and yellow combination lehenga choli, Malaika looked
absolutely gorgeous. The highlight of her look was the gold and pearl choker
and her simple hair-do. The little black bindi made Malaika look so hot!

I said hesitant because her attire was a total thumbs down for me! She is Sushmita Sen, she makes any outfit look WOW, but this one was just too blah for her persona! She wore a Sashi Vangapalli creation and I say the designer could have given her a better outfit.
On the other hand, Bipasha Basu was a good surprise! The
long-legged lass was the showstopper for Falguni Shane Peacock.

Bipasha owned the ramp with her sultry avatar. She looked superb in that fitted beige embellished gown. A Shimmering cape was just the right choice to make the look a complete 100 on 100! Right from her hair-do and those maroon lips, Bipasha nailed the look and how!
Sonakshi Sinha walked the runaway on Day 1 of the fashion week. Her attire was pretty casual and comfi.

Sonakshi Sinha showed her badass side in that military jacket and skinny fit jeans by designer Kunal Rawal. She carried the casual look like a boss!
Showcasing her Indian side was Preity Zinta, who walked the ramp for Assamese designer Sanjukta Dutta.

The actress looked gorgeous in a black and red saree that is said to be inspired by Goddess Durga and traditional Assamese motifs like Singkhap (lion), Moourah (peacock) and Pokhila (butterfly), which represent communal harmony and serenity of Assam. Preity looked extremely beautiful and graceful.
And lastly, let’s end the report with another Kapoor sister. Karisma Kapoor took the runway wearing this gorgeous creation by Arpita Mehta.

Karisma looked so fresh and vibrant in that beautiful embellished crop top and layered palazzo. Keeping he hair up tight in a bun, Karisma wore minimal make-up and light accessories. I give her thumbs up!
