Bigg Boss 13: Mahira Sharma Opens Up On The Dress That Labelled Her ‘Gareebon Ki Alia Bhatt’, ‘I Tried, What’s The Harm?’
Mahira Sharma was called out for wearing a dress similar to something Alia Bhatt had recently worn at an Awards night. Mahira’s powder blue number at the Bigg Boss 13 grand finale, was a carbon copy of the Raazi actress’ flowy beige IIFA 2019 gown. After getting admonished by Diet Sabya, who said, Mahira had guts to wear something like this, to the internet at large that labelled the Naagin actress as ‘gareebon ki Alia Bhatt,’ the reality TV actress was mercilessly trolled.

But the lady seems unperturbed by the naysayers. Accepting that she indeed blatantly copied Alia Bhatt’s look, she adds that she finds nothing wrong in “trying what Alia had once tried.” “I don't understand what is there to be trolled here? Alia Bhatt is a youth icon and even if I tried what she had tried once what is the harm? I would rather call this 'taking inspiration from her.”

Some of the comments that came Mahira’s way were not all that pleasant, a section of the internet did get downright dirty, using derogatory words while exclaiming about the fashion blasphemy she had committed.  ALSO READ: Bigg Boss 13: Himanshi On Shefali Jariwala’s Claims Of Asim Hitting On Her, ‘Nothing Like That, Speechless’

Referring to the same, Mahira says, “Unfortunately social media has now become a place to vent out hatred more than appreciation. The platform is being used for abuses and bad choice of words. I hope there is some filtration to this soon.”
