Deepika Padukone, Kangana Ranaut, Sonam Kapoor- When Bollywood’s TOP Fashion Brigade FAILS
Sad sight but we give them a benefit of doubt! It’s not easy to push the envelope and emerge victorious in every experimental look. Recently, all the three fashion icons of Bollywood put up a bad show
It’s not possible to dress to kill 365 days- you tend to go wrong at times. Also, a look is very subjective- some may like a certain outfit, some may not. But when Bollywood’s top fashion brigade goes wrong together, it surely hurts and comes to the eye.
Deepika Padukone, Kangana Ranaut and Sonam Kapoor are touted to be B-Town’s most looked up to actresses, especially when it comes to fashion and style. So, when these three falter together in the segment by which they inspire many, my heart surely aches.
Kangana Ranaut must be beaming with joy as her film Panga has received great response from the critics. We rated the film 4 stars. However, we wish her look for the promotional events were as brilliant as her acting chops in the film. In fact, actress’ recent look at an event was thoroughly disappointing.
Kangana is usually known to experiment with her wardrobe but this experiment, with a flower pot on the head, especially with a floral Indian outfit was tad disastrous. Also, following the suit was Sonam Kapoor who thought of going quirky with a blazer saree. The fusion outfit in black by Jean Paul Gaultier was not doing justice to the actress and then she paired a silver necklace and a bindi to give her look an Indian touch- naah!
Even Sonam’s hairdo was a bit disappointing. I wonder if it would have worked out better if the diva left her tresses open in soft curls and the outfit had a more fitted style. The grouse is same with Deepika Padukone as she wore an over-sized white outfit by Roksanda. The long overcoat in white and the big dramatic bow on her collar- just everything was too big in her look.
We love to see you girls experimenting and setting new #fashiongoals. It’s always brave to push the envelope and try something different but we should also be prepared for the flip side of it. Ladies, this time the experiment failed, and what bothers is that all three of them put up a bad show at the same time. BUT we love the guts and confidence, so waiting to see, what’s next!
