Ganesh Chaturthi 2019, Fashion Tips: Go Simple, Classy And Minimal In Your Look
If you’re still figuring out your wardrobe for Ganpati darshan, like I am, this is the perfect time to give this article a read. It’s a bit of a pressure to dress-up when the festivities kick-start, isn’t it? I feel you girl and that’s why here are some quick tips you can follow while putting your look together.

I am quite done with wearing heavy anarkalis, Indian suits and embroidered sarees and if you are also in the ‘bored with the usual Indian wear’ club then go simple, minimal and classy this year for your Ganpati visits. Choose light fabrics, emphasise more on the style of the outfit, select different shades, tone down the make-up, go heavy on costume jewellery to balance the look. Try pretty hairdos instead of normal blow dried and straight hair.

Sonam Kapoor stepped out in the city today wearing a beautiful grey/silver outfit with red floral embroidery on her duppatta. Now, that’s something what I am talking about. She chooses organza dupatta with a form of silk, goes for a classic bun and let’s her rose embroidery do all the talking.

In case you like experimenting with your look and don’t mind going edgy, then try a look like Taapsee Pannu’s. The actress looks lovely as she wears a one-side sleeve dhoti set and drapes a yellow duppata to give it a saree look.

If you don’t find something similar, then here’s how you can get Taapsee's look with a bit of twist- buy solid colour dhoti pants (easily available in markets now), pair it with a cool crop top in a contrasting shade- choose a festive colour and just pick up a beautiful drape from any fabric shop (keep in mind the drape should have a bit of work and stand out). Opt for a choker or a heavy neck piece, style your hair in loose waves or braid them and you are ready to rock!

If you’re a classic saree person who doesn’t like to experiment with it, then who better than the saree queen, Vidya Balan to take a top from:

Usually Vidya drapes heavy kanjivarams but of late, the actress wore some light numbers and played around with prints instead. Like the one above, choose a stripe and pair it with a cool printed blouse but make sure it has a wide open neck. As accessory just wear a heavy earring and leave those tresses open- voila, simple has never looked sexier.

So, that's all from my tip box, hope they come as a saviour for you!
