Along with that, her unhindered social media presence made her a favourite among her fans.
However, after these few initial hits, Parineeti saw a downfall in her career graph. There were hardly any offers and she was left with very little in her kitty. A lot was blamed on her weight being a prime reason for the lessening of film offers. Parineeti was always on the chubby side, and that's something that her fans really loved about her.
With no film offers for over a year, Parineeti put the time to good use, and hit the gym vigorously. She stopped attending Bollywood parties. This resulted in people gossiping about Parineeti quitting acting.

There was also a buzz that Parineeti attempted this hard-core fitness photo shoot to pitch for a role in Salman Khan’s Sultan, which eventually went to Anushka Sharma. As the role was of a wrestler, she followed a gruesome fitness regime.
