The President of United States Donald Trump, along with his wife, The First Lady of US, Melania Trump and their daughter Ivanka Trump landed in Ahmedabad yesterday to begin their two-day visit to India. Their visit was highly anticipated and all eyes were on them right from the moment they touched down in Ahmedabad. Both Melania and Ivanka’s sartorial choices were on fleek, and they exuded class and elegance with their choice of outfits. Pictures from their visit have been all over the Internet, and they made a statement with their fashion choice.
On the first day of their visit, Melania Trump was seen in an Atelier Caito For Herve Pierre white jumpsuit. The chic jumpsuit with full sleeves was complemented by a green sash that she tied at the waist. What’s special about the green and gold embroidered sash is that it was made from a vintage Indian textile the designer found in Paris. The designer shared this piece of information in an Instagram post that read, “Arriving in India, the First Lady #flotus is wearing a white jumpsuit from @atelier_caito_for_herve_pierre in crème crêpe . The sash was cut in an early XX century Indian textile documents I found in Paris through very good friends who are collectors. @herve_pierre_creative_director . The sash is made out of green silk and gold metallic thread . We used the border which was the most Interesting piece we could use as it was a vintage piece.”
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump’s daughter and adviser Ivanka Trump, wore a white blue midi dress with red floral print by designer Proenza Schouler. This isn’t the first time she was seen in this dress. Ivanka had opted for the same outfit, on her visit to Argentina in 2019. Ivanka set an example for sustainable fashion by repeating the outfit.
For the second day, Melania Trump wore a Carolina Herrera creation, a white printed midi dress as she arrived at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi.
