It was on the 12th of this month that the iconic Wendell Rodricks took this last breath in his Goa residence. However, just a few days before his demise, the designer was in the news for criticising Priyanka Chopra’s super-deep plunging neckline look that she opted for Grammys 2020. Wendell was at the receiving end for his comments and eventually deleted the post. At the recently-held Blenders Pride Fashion Tour, the Barfi actress paid a heartwarming tribute to the late fashion designer.
Soon after walking the ramp, the global diva, in her speech, remembered Wendell Rodricks and called him the visionary of the Indian fashion; the actress added that she will always and forever miss the legend. She said, “It's only apt on a night like this in the presence of so many luminaries from the Indian fashion industry that we remember Wendell Rodricks. He was a pioneer, he was a visionary of Indian fashion and he will always and forever be missed."
For the night, Priyanka Chopra wore a black gown with a sheer cape jacket attached to it. She completed her look with an upper bun, a stunning pair of diamond earrings and black heels.

Earlier, in a conversation with SpotboyE, Priyanka Chopra’s mother Madhu had told, “We have lost a great, talented man. I couldn't believe yesterday evening that Wendell is no more. He had just brought in two puppies to his house to shelter them. He was an ardent dog-lover. Life is so unpredictable. We hold no grudges against Wendell. Disagreements happen and one shouldn't keep it forever. Wendell was a nice guy. Priyanka worked with him in Fashion. Plus, if you recall, Wendell had subsequently issued a clarification."
