Sonam Kapoor created quite a storm in the fashion teacup when she recently wore this denim sari by Masaba. Though, I'm not a big fan of this look, you can't deny that it is one hell of an ensemble. Normally if you wanted to incorporate denim in a desi look you'd either wear a blouse made of denim or have denim accents on your sari but this!? This is whole denim on denim draped in denim look and Sonam is working it just fine.

Sonam spent her time in California perfectly blending desi with denim. She teamed the flowy Payal Pratap frock with a jacket by Bhane and topped it with chunky ethnic jewellery. The overall effect was desi glam at its best.

While at a film screening, Sonam broke the monotony of the all black look with a long denim jacket. Apart from being stylish, my guess is that that jacket kept her warm in the chilly movie hall as well.

Looks like denim is Sonam's go to style while catching a movie because a just a few days later we saw her again at a film screening wearing denim. This denim shirt with its oversized pockets and rolled up sleeves gave the look a super chilled out yet stylish vibe.

While on a chat show, Sonam showed up in a denim skirt by Bhane which she teamed with a jacket by Dolly J and pumps by Louboutin. I love how she dressed up a rather plain-looking denim skirt by teaming it with a light coloured top and a très chic jacket.

Travelling in style

The above term 'travelling in style' might as well have been coined for Sonam. The actor's travel attires are a beautiful balance of style and comfort. Sonam kept warm on the flight in this denim jacket which she belted at the waist. The stiff structure of the jacket offsets the flowy silhouette of the dress.

Sonam mixed things up while returning to Mumbai in a long Bhane denim shirt and thigh-high boots. Normally one would be tempted to pair the shirt with leggings or skinny jeans. But not if you are Sonam. If you are her, you just slip on thigh-high boots and you are good to go.
