When Love Changes Your Style Statement- Meet The All New Quirked-Up Deepika Padukone!
Deepika Padukone holds a high place on my list of game changers when it comes to fashion. Though her style statements, early in her career, never got my attention but after Cocktail, the lady has turned the tables and how! Be it her international red carpet appearances or her homeland emergence as one of the top fashionistas- you expect class, elegance, simplicity and chic from the Padmaavat actress.

But do these adjectives still stand true for her? If her last few appearances are anything to go by, I think these words will jump back into the dictionary right away. If you ask me, am I complaining? Not really. It’s a good change to see Deepika shift gears after marriage and channel a bit of hubby, Ranveer Singh, in her style statement but if you ask me do I want her to continue with this quirky side- my answer would be a no!


Starting from her Cannes 2019 Day 2 red carpet look, where Deepika wore a ruffled tulle lime green gown with a headgear, to her last night, head to toe Parroty-balloon outfit- Mrs Padukone is truly being Ranveer’s wife.


In fact, a lot of memes did rounds on social media where her looks were compared to Singh. Not too forget she went all neon green at Mumbai airport in an over-sized tracksuit, recently.


Coming to my reasoning about why the actress should not to continue to tread the quirked-up path like Ranveer, well, I feel Deepika has an extremely pleasing personality, very feminine and poised, which at times fails to match to the high-levels of experiment she does with her outfits.


A classic case is her yesterday’s Grazia Millennial Awards 2019 look. No doubt Padukone carried it off with confidence but the right attitude for such looks goes MIA in Dippy a lot of times.


Compare it to a Priyanka Chopra MET Gala 2019 look- now, who could dare to do what PeeCee did with her Camp avatar for the event and you would know what I am talking about.


So, Deepika, while we don’t mind you experimenting with your looks and be Ranveer-like at times, but we also hope you bring back the old Dippy and her classic styling back in the game.
