The most versatile material, denim has been a favourite go-to for people of all ages, so the latest trend to hit fashion waves is the double denim trend or the denim on denim trend. But don't get to collecting all your denims yet! The style has for years gotten flak for being a risky fashion choice, done right the denim on denim trend might just end up being your favourite for all season.

And while we still are skeptical about the fashion choice, Kareena Kapoor was recently spotted acing the trend. With a plain blue denim shirt and some cropped well fitting ripped denims, we were taken aback by how casually comfortable she looked without making it look like an uncomfortable choice for our eyes.

While we do appreciate Kareena’s balsy fashion move, we’re not completely sold on the denim on denim trend. A more muted version of the trend was recently spotted on Katrina Kaif and Jacqueline Fernandez on one of their airport rounds. While they did choose to hit us with denim during summer (a very risky move), they muted it down with a white ganji underneath, which we can get on board with.

While you, like us, contemplate over the latest trend, here are a few tips to make sure you do not look like an extra from a Western movie.

• Opt for distress denims - Ripped Jeans, faded jeans are the best to pull off the look
• Do not pick the same wash denims - pick a shade lighter that the shirt or pants.
• Do not go overboard - Limit your denims or you’re going to end up looking like Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake when they matched their denims.
