‘Avatar 2 IS LONG’ Director James Cameron Encourages Pee Breaks For Those Whining About Movie Runtimes; DEAL WITH IT!
James Cameron has a special message for folks who might whine about a long runtime for his new 'Avatar' movie
James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water is undeniably one of the most awaited films. The sequel comes nearly a decade after the first instalment in the franchise, which was released in 2009.
Nevertheless, even Cameron has been waiting for roughly 11 years gearing up for the release, and the ones who are familiar with his direction style would understand the importance of a film’s runtime.
Well, Cameron’s attention to detail leaves him with an extensive film that goes beyond the usual length. And he has a special message for folks who might whine about a long runtime for his new 'Avatar' movie - pipe down and stop fussing - and go unload yourself silently.

The popular director, in a recent interview with Empire, explained that he is completely fine with pee breaks. In fact, he’s encouraged them if it stops people whining about the length of the movie, which is set to be a whopping two hours and 40 minutes long.
Shocking? We suggest you start practising!
Not to mention, you must have binged series’ in one session that is way longer, as Cameron points out.
"I don't want anybody whining about length when they sit and binge-watch for eight hours [...] I can almost write this part of the review," he said in an interview with Empire.
"'The agonizingly long three-hour movie...' It's like, give me a f*****g break. I've watched my kids sit and do five one-hour episodes in a row."
Irrespective of his views on Television or Web-seires, James Cameron understands that sometimes nature calls: "Here's the big social paradigm shift that has to happen: it's okay to get up and go pee."
And we don't need any more permission than that.
However, it's totally understandable that some people are planning to hold it for the full three hours, given that they've waited over a decade for the new film.
Not everyone holds these godly powers, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t excited.
Avatar: The Way of Water is set to premiere on December 16, 2022, and the plot picks up 10 years after the events of the first film.
The trailer shows Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) learning more about the Na'vi people on Pandora, with his bold partner Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) by his side.
In case that doesn’t hype you up for the film, Saldana's reaction would be handy here. Reportedly, the actress cried just 20 minutes into the film. Which means that this is the time we’d take our first pee break.
