‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3’ Goes On Floors, Director James Gunn Posts Picture With Chris Pratt And Others-SEE PHOTO
Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan and Pom Klementieff will be seen returning for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3.
The much-anticipated instalment of the popular Marvel franchise, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ has finally gone on floors. The upcoming volume is being written and directed by James Gunn and the film will release on May 3, 2023.
Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan and Pom Klementieff will be seen returning for the third volume. Announcing the shoot, Gunn took to Instagram and shared a picture with the cast on Monday.
“It’s been a strange & long & at times challenging journey to get here, but the obstacles along the way have only made this moment more blissful. Back on set with my Guardians family for the first day of shooting #gotgvol3,” captioned Gunn.
Surprisingly, the picture also features actor Chukwudi Iwuji, who is set to appear in Gunn’s upcoming Peacemaker show. However, his connection with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is unknown, reported The New Indian Express.
Previously, the filmmaker made two films in the series, starting with ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ in 2014 and its 2017 sequel ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2’.
Recently director James Gunn shared his plans to ‘wrap up’ the stories he started in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1’ with the upcoming third instalment in the franchise. "If everything goes to plan it will wrap up the stories I started in Guardians 1," Gunn wrote on Instagram in a response to the fan's question about the much-anticipated Marvel Studios project.
Interestingly, James Gunn is also working with Marvel to write and direct the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, which will be released in Disney+ in December 2022.
The director also serves as an executive producer on I Am Groot, a Disney+ show about the Guardians character. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is slated to hit theatres on May 5, 2023.
