Now, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor is yet again decorating the headlines as more and more shocking details continue to emerge from the newly unsealed court documents, the latest of which involves his ex-girlfriend Ellen Barkin.
As per the recent reports, the unsealed documents revealed that Johnny Depp’s ex-girlfriend Ellen Barkin claimed the actor was “controlling,” drank too much red wine, and gave her a Quaalude, a drug, the first time they had sex.
For the unversed, Johnny Depp dated Ellen Barkin in the ‘90s and her name cropped up as a witness during his defamation trial with his ex-wife Amber Heard.
Now, amid all the shocking information and claims from the pre-recorded testimonies, Depp’s ex-girlfriend Ellen Barkin’s allegations from the newly publicized information have made headlines again.
In her deposition from the Depp vs. Heard defamation trial, Ellen claimed that the 59-year-old actor had a “world of violence around him.” Ellen was quoted by Daily Mail talking about the first time they had sex, "He gave me a quaalude and asked me if I wanted to f***."
Ellen Barkin’s pre-recorded deposition was reportedly taken on November 22, 2019. She also shared that their relationship lasted for several months and they would go to each other’s house three or four times a week. Ellen exclaimed, "He was drunk all the, most, a lot of the time."
She also said that she saw him using cocaine, marijuana and hallucinogenic drugs. Ellen then recalled him telling her once that he was ‘tripping’ and added that he 'was always drinking or smoking a joint’. Ellen went on to label Johnny 'a yeller' who was 'verbally abusive'. She also recalled him yelling at his assistant.
She also revealed that Johnny had even thrown a wine bottle at her during their relationship. However, a few reports stated that the wine bottle was thrown in her general direction.
Ellen said, "Mr Depp threw a wine bottle across the hotel room in one instance, in Las Vegas while shooting Fear and Loathing. A fight was going on, between Johnny Depp and his friends in the room, the assistant."
She also went on to add that the friendship went from ‘purely platonic friendship to romantic’. Asking to correct the record, Ellen asked to 'change that to sexual?’.
