Director James Cameron has finally returned with a new instalment in the Avatar franchise after 13 years. The Avatar: Way Of Water hit the theatres on December 16, 2022 and it, explores new territories on Pandora. The film has piqued the audience’s interest and the results were evident in merely three days since its release.
Avatar 2 left the cash registers rolling as it managed to mint the lifetime collection in just a few days. While it is yet to break records set by Avengers: The Way of Water, the film has ruled the box-office numbers so far.
However, a section of fans are eagerly waiting for its OTT release.
The film is likely to be available on Disney+ and it will release soon. However, the exact date is yet to be confirmed.
Reports suggested that the film might not release on OTT in the first half of 2023 given the hype around it. The company will try to keep the film in theatres for as long as possible, and only after that, the company may decide to retract it from the theatres.
For those unaware, Avatar stayed in the theatre for approximately 234 days!

The latest reports suggest that Avatar 2 has already crossed $500 million mark at the box office. So far, the film has performed well, at the box office across the world. On the first day, the film managed to mint Rs 40 Crore and it emerged the second biggest opening in India for a Hollywood film. It closed behind Avengers: Endgame.
