Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez were one of the most talked-about romances back in the early 2000s, but they abruptly called off their wedding in January 2004. Now, Ben Affleck has revealed that he still keeps in touch with her, 16 years later.
In a cut excerpt from Ben Affleck’s New York Times profile by Brooks Barnes, Affleck spoke about his current equation with JLo. He was all praise for her and Hollywood Life quoted him saying, “She’s the real thing.” He also was of the opinion that Jennifer Lopez should have been nominated for the Oscar for Hustlers. “I keep in touch periodically with her and have a lot of respect for her. How awesome is it that she had her biggest hit movie at 50? That’s f**king baller,” he said.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck fell in love while they were shooting for the 2003 film Gigli. In 2002, the actor gave JLo a si carat pink diamond engagement ring in the year2002. He also featured in a music video of hers, ‘Jenny From The Block.’
After they abruptly, called it quits, Jennifer Lopez went on to marry Marc Anthony, 5 months later. She is currently engaged to Alex Rodriguez and keeps sharing pictures of them together on her social media.
