Billboard Music Awards 2020: BTS Loses To Jonas Brothers In The Top Duo/Group Category; ARMY Disappointed

Billboard Music Awards 2020 were recently announced. Due to Coronavirus, no big event was held and the awards were announced on social media. K-Pop group BTS was nominated in two categories - Top Social Artist and Top Duo/Group. They won the award for being the Top Social Artist, however, they lost to Jonas Brothers in the Top/Duo Group category. Jonas Brothers that comprises of Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas took home the award and all their fans were over the moon. But BTS fandom, ARMY, appeared pretty disappointed with it.

On social media, ARMY expressed their disappointment by making several posts. However, some also appeared to be optimistic and congratulated Jonas Brothers for the win, saying that BTS will win the award next year. A fan wrote, "tbh we were up against a group that was a top artist nominee so this was kinda expected. but im glad we got our tsa for the 4th year in a row. im pretty sure bts got the 2021 award secured bc no other group so far is doing really great in the US except bts."

Another fan wrote, "Congrats to @BTS_twt for winning the Top Social Award for the fourth time, you really deserve it and also congrats to @jonasbrothers for winning top group/duo. I know a lot of Army’s are upset but please don’t spread hate. Even BTS have said they like the Jonas Brothers." Check out the tweets here:
