BREAKING! Rape and sexual assault convict Harvey Weinstein has now been sentenced to 23 years in prison
As per Metro.co.uk, the woman who Weinstein was found guilty of raping and the woman who Weinstein was found guilty of oral sex on were present to hear the sentencing. One of the women, who earlier acted a bad witness and who accused Weinstein of raping, was also present at the hearing. The actress, who had accused Weinstein of masturbating in front of her and groping her seven years ago and the women that had claimed that Weinstein said he would offer her films if she had a threesome with him and his assistant, too, was present.
Soon after the verdict, many celebrities took to Twitter to rejoice on this victory for the #MeToo movement in West. A tweet read “23 years for Harvey Weinstein. @mega2e and I just witnessed it for ourselves. Weinstein was cuffed to his wheelchair then rolled away. The women who testified sobbed afterwards. Irwin Reiter, his accountant of 30 yrs who secretly helped us break the story, sat just behind.”
