Mollie Fitzgerald, who was seen in a minor role in Marvel’s Captain America: The First Avenger, has been arrested for allegedly stabbing her mother to death on the New Year’s Eve. The incident took place at the actress’ suburban Kansas City Home. As per the reports, the 38-year-old actress was arrested on Tuesday by the police officials in Olathe, Kansas. She has been booked under the charges of second-degree murder and jailed on $500,000 bond. However, there hasn’t been any confirmation on whether an attorney will represent the accused.
According to the cops, Mollie’s mother Patricia was found dead with a fatal stab wound. In their statement, they said, "A 38-year-old, white female, known to the victim, was contacted on the scene and transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. This case remains under investigation by the Olathe Police Department.” Patricia’s brother Gary Hunziker, in a conversation with the Star, revealed that she was in the process of moving back to the Kansas City after staying in the Houston area for several decades. "We were shocked, but it doesn't matter the circumstances — the loss of a sister is what it's all about,” he said.

As per IMDb, Mollie Fitzgerald is an actress, a director and a producer as well. She has been associated with several low-budget films like The Lawful Truth (2014) and The Creeps (2017). In Captain America, Mollie essayed the role of Stark Girl and was also an assistant director to Joe Johnson. Speaking about her experience on the same, the actress had told a comic book publication, “Being a part of this production has been one of the best experiences of my life.”
