The Jurassic Park and Jurassic World franchise has a huge fan base worldwide and continues to rule cinemas even today. Due to the global Coronavirus pandemic, it was recently reported that makers of Jurassic World: Dominion has postponed the release date to 2022. The makers made the big announcement about the release and also shared a poster giving fans an idea of what’s coming. With the crew of Jurassic World: Dominion shooting amid the pandemic, production is postponed after crew members tested COVID-19 positive. Director Colin Trevorrow informed that the crew has tested negative but they are going to pause shooting for a period of two weeks.

On Twitter, director Colin Trevorrow informed fans and wrote, “All tested negative shortly after, but due to our safety protocols we're going to pause for two weeks.” He mentioned that the shooting  for Jurassic World: Dominion has been suspended for two weeks, even though all have tested negative for safety protocols.

While the filmmaker shared the crucial information regarding the production, the makers also released an official statement on the movie’s official Instagram account. The formal announcement read, “Late last night, we were informed that the Jurassic World: Dominion production experienced a small amount of positive tests for COVID-19. Even though subsequent tests proved negative this morning, due to our rigid protocols and to ensure that the safety and well-being of our entire cast and crew are paramount at all times, those who initially tested positive are currently self-isolating, as are those who they have come into contact with. As a result filming has been temporarily paused and will resume in accordance with established safety guidelines."



Meanwhile, the production was earlier stalled in mid-March due to the pandemic, and eventually went on to resume in July. The filming for the movie resumed in England under stringent protocols for the crew and cast that includes Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. Talking about the release date, Jurassic World: Dominion is scheduled to hit theatres on June 10, 2022.
