About a few days back, due to the situation across the world getting much worse than expected, the WHO (World Health Organization ) declared COVID-19 as a pandemic. Since then, many Hollywood celebrities have decided to remain under self-isolation at home to avoid the spreading of the deadly virus. As the Novel Coronavirus has been taking several lives worldwide, singer Madonna took to her social media to share a strange topless bathtub video and spoke on COVID-19 being a great equalizer. Eventually, the singer gets brutally trolled for her video by the netizens.
Madonna posted a strange topless bathtub video on her Instagram and captioned it, “No-Discrimination- Covid-19!! #quarantine #covid_19 #staysafe #becreative #brianeno.” The video features Madonna sitting comfortably, topless in a bathtub filled with milky water and rose petals, with soft piano music playing in the background. “That’s the thing about Covid-19,” she said. Talking about the deadly virus, she said, “It doesn’t care about how rich you are, how famous you are, how funny you are, how smart you are, where you live, how old you are, what amazing stories you can tell.”
Madonna later added, “It’s the great equalizer and what’s terrible about it is what’s great about it." The singer then went on to explain why she called the virus a great equalizer and said, "What’s terrible about it is that it’s made us all equal in many ways -- and what’s wonderful about it is that it’s made us all equal in many ways. Like I used to say at the end of ‘Human Nature’s every night, we are all in the same boat." Madonna finally concluded, "And if the ship goes down, we’re all going down together.”
Soon after sharing the bizarre video, the singer got mercilessly trolled for her calling the situation a great equalizer. Many fans called her dumb and ignorant, while one fan commented, “Sorry my queen, love u so much, but we’re not equal. We can die from the same diseases, but the poor will suffer the most. Meanwhile, as Madonna got massively trolled by many on social media for her talk on COVID-19 being an equalizer, celebrity blogger Perez Hilton wrote in the comments, “I love you, but this is just dumb. You come across as uneducated and painfully out of touch.
