Did Johnny Depp Attack Ex-Wife Amber Heard Mid-Air For Rumoured Affair With James Franco? Actor Replies In Court
Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have been hitting headlines even after their controversial divorce back in 2017. As it is reported that Depp is legally suing British Tabloid The Sun’s publisher, News Group Newspapers, and its executive editor, Dan Wootton, over the controversial headline of their April 2018 story which called him a ‘wife beater’, in their defence, the tabloid is planning to use Heard’s accusations made at the actor, which he rubbished recently. Now, during the libel trial, Johnny Depp denies attacking Amber after the court listens to audio from a flight.

According to a report in Mail Online, on the second day of Johnny Depp’s libel trial, he was questioned about the Boston plane incident that took place in May 2014. It was alleged that Depp attacked Heard on a flight they were travelling to Los Angeles from Boston accusing her that she cheated on him with co-star James Franco, after consuming cocaine, whisky, pills and champagne, all before finally passing out in the toilet of the plane.

During the libel trial, Johnny Depp denied screaming at Heard and making vulgar comments at her while grilling her about cheating on him with Adderall Diaries co-star Franco. As the Sun's lawyer, Sasha Wass QC, said Depp made vulgar comments at Heard, in front the crew members on the flight, Johnny denied the accusations and commented, “That’s quite a stretch of her imagination.” Later, as a recording of the Pirates of the Carribean actor from the flight was played in the afternoon session, in his defence, Depp said, “I had drunk alcohol prior on the flight but my behaviour was not as alleged … I was drawing art sketches in my notebook.”

Meanwhile, during the libel trial, Johnny Depp claimed that he was concerned about Heard’s co-star Franco as she described him as ‘creepy and rapey’ when they co-starred in Pineapple Express. While the trail went on for a long time, Johnny Depp also accused Heard of compiling a 'dossier' of evidence as an 'insurance policy' and also also accepted that he joked about putting Amber’s dog in a microwave.
