Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes are one of the cutest couples of Hollywood currently. They are spending time together amid lockdown and have been sharing the most adorable videos cooking, singing, and just enjoying each other’s company. A report on the Internet from a few months ago claimed that the two are secretly engaged and that when Shawn popped the question, asking her to marry him, she said yes. However, a few months later, Gossip Cop has now refuted these claims.
It was in October 2019 that In Touch reported Shawn had asked Camila the question, to which she replied with a yes. A source told the publication all the details of how Shawn supposedly popped the question and what went down. “During a romantic candlelit dinner recently, Shawn asked Camilla to marry him. Actually, he blurted it out – he just couldn’t help himself. She was shocked, but of course, she said ‘Yes,’” said the insider. The report further added that the official announcement of their engagement will be made as soon as Camila picks out the perfect ring for her.
Now, Gossip Cop has called this report baseless, bringing forth a valid point that a ring is usually a part of the engagement process and a person generally proposes with a ring. However, months have now passed since the report was published, but the official announcement of their engagement has come from neither Shawn nor Camila’s side, thus proving the report is false.
