Ed Sheeran sued for $20 million for copyright infringement

Ed Sheeran is in a spot of bother, people.

The Grammy winner has been sued by a couple of California song-writers for copyright infringement.

Martin Harrington and Tom Leonard allege that his 2015 hit Photograph is a copy of Amazing, a song they released in 2012.

Others named in the suit are Photograph co-writer Johnny McDaid, record label and the publishers.

The songwriters claim that the two songs have 39 notes in common.

The lawsuit further states the notes are identical in pitch, rhythmic duration, and placement in the measure

Is this just another copyright infringement story that will die down? Or will it be further trouble for Sheeran? Watch this space.
