After the NBA star Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna Bryant were killed in a helicopter crash on Sunday in Calabasas, California, people have been mourning over the sad news. Many celebrities like Priyanka Chopra, Abhishek Bachchan, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Preity Zinta, Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez and many others took to their social media handles and have expressed their disbelief on the loss of the legend and offered their condolences to their family. The accident happened on Sunday when it was Grammys 2020 night and Ellen DeGeneres' birthday too. The next day she was on sets of her TV talk show and reacted on this news and as she couldn’t believe it, she got teary-eyed on the sets while speaking about him.
We just came across a video from the show on the official Instagram account where she spoke at lengths about how life is short and how it’s fragile. She also said that if we haven't told anyone about how much you love them then do it now. First, Ellen started telling the audience how she got to the news on her birthday which was on last Sunday. She said, “Yesterday was supposed to be celebratory day and then we got tragic news about Kobe Bryant and everything changed in a second. And that's what I want to talk about. Life is short and it’s fragile and we don't know how many birthdays we may have. So just, you don't have to have a birthday to celebrate, just celebrate life.”ALSO READ: Kobe Bryant's Death: Pilot Warned For Flying Too Low; Chopper Crashes Near Kourtney Kardashian's House
She then said, “And if you haven't told someone you love them, do it now. do it! Tell people you love them. Call your friends, text your friends, hug them, kiss them.” To lighten the mood, she then joked by saying, “Be nice to people at the DMV, they're people. Be nice to them. And I love each and every one of you. I know that you wait for tickets and you get here, and you pick out your TV outfits and you do your TV hair and I appreciate it very much. I know that I’m lucky to have a wife who loves me so much even though I don't have a Grammy.”
As the video, progresses, she then introduces the next celebrity guest Stephen tWitch Boss and Justin Bieber.
