A few months ago, Ellen DeGeneres told her viewers that she is ending her long-running comedy talk show 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' and since then, she has been making headlines for many reasons. Talking about the decision to end the show, she said that she always trusts her instincts and thanked her fans for their support and credited them for changing her life. She didn't mention the accusations of a toxic work environment that put the show under fire last year but she mentioned that season 19 will be the last.
And now, according to a recent Globe report, Ellen DeGeneres is planning to leave Hollywood once her comedy talk show comes to an end. Rumours are abuzz that she is planning to travel to Africa to release her mind to save her marriage with her wife, Portia de Rossi. To back up its claim, the outlet cited a source who stated that Ellen requires a trip to Africa to clear her mind to plan her new movie. The report also adds that she is allegedly planning to visit a gorilla sanctuary.
However, according to Entertainment Times, she is unlikely to leave Hollywood for good, as she has a long list of projects including Little Ellen and Little Funny. The source further adds that while it is true that she owns an African sanctuary, there is no indication that she will visit it once her daytime show ends. Talking about her personal life, the report states that her relationship with her wife Portia de Rossi is still going strong.
Earlier, while talking to The Hollywood Reporter, Ellen told the interviewer that season 19 will be her last as a talk show host. She added that it wasn't challenging enough for her because she was a very creative person. For the unversed, this year, the talk show host has completed over 3000 episodes.
