From director Jason Reitman and producer Ivan Reitman, comes the next chapter in the original Ghostbusters universe. In Ghostbusters: Afterlife, when a single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind. The film is written by Gil Kenan and Jason Reitman.
After much speculation and waiting, Sony Pictures Indian took to their official Instagram account to share the release date of Ghostbusters: Afterlife. The film is set to release on 19, November, 2021. The makers shared a new poster and wrote, “Discover the past, protect the future. #Ghostbusters: Afterlife exclusively in cinemas 19th November.”
The movie will star Paul Rudd, Finn Wolfhard, Carrie Coon and Mckenna Grace in the lead roles. Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts, who were part of the original Ghostbusters films, will reprise their roles in the sequel. The movie has been delayed multiple times from its original release date in July 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
