The entire world, at present, is on a standstill due to the Coronavirus pandemic that has affected and claimed a huge number of lives. The governments of all the countries are doing the best in their capacity to spread awareness and battle the same, and so are the celebrities when it comes extending support and getting our spirits high. A few hours ago, a virtual event called ‘One World: Together At Home’ was jointly organised by WHO and international advocacy Global Citizen, which saw an array of stars from both Bollywood and Hollywood, to thank all the people who are on the frontline, putting their lives at risk amid the pandemic.
The two-hour-long virtual concert, which was jointly hosted by Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert, commenced with Lady Gaga’s performance on the beautiful rendition of the song, Smile. Before wowing fans, Lady Gaga revealed being honoured to be a part of the fight against COVID-19. It saw the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Beyoncé, Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres, David and Victoria Beckham, Vishal Mishra and Jennifer Lopez among others enthralling the viewers with their hard-hitting performances and messages.
In his video message, Shah Rukh Khan appealed his fans to take action amid the crisis and revealed he is looking to people who can contribute to the world leaders, especially in the most necessary areas. "I love you, stay strong," said SRK to his fans. Priyanka Chopra, on the other hand, emphasised on the importance of social distancing, self-care and sanitisation.

Beyoncé sent out a powerful message by saying, “Please protect yourselves. We are one family and we need you. We need your voices, your abilities and your strength all over this world. I know it's very hard, but please be patient, stay encouraged, keep the faith, stay positive and continue to pray for our heroes. Good night and God bless you.” Lovebirds Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello performed the cover of Louis Armstrong’s What a Wonderful World.
