Irrfan Khan Demise: A Mighty Heart Co-Star Angelina Jolie Says, 'Remember The Intensity Of His Commitment, And Equally His Smile’
Right from Jurassic World to A Mighty Heart, the late actor Irrfan Khan has been a part of many Hollywood projects which were Oscar-nominated too. Not only his Bollywood colleagues, his Hollywood co-stars too have paid their condolences to the bereaved family. Here’s his A Mighty Heart co-star Angelina Jolie’s tribute
Yesterday morning, Irrfan Khan left for heavenly abode after battling with Neuroendocrine Tumour for almost one-and-a-half years. The actor was admitted to the hospital where he succumbed. He was 53 and he is survived by a wife and two sons. Known for his par excellence acting, Irrfan Khan had paved his path in Hollywood too. Right from Jurassic World to A Mighty Heart, Inferno To Life Of Pi the late actor has been a part of many Hollywood projects.
Not only his Bollywood colleagues, his Hollywood co-star too have paid their condolences to the bereaved family. Irrfan’s A Mighty Heart co-star Angelina Jolie sent a message to IANS speaking about the former’s sad demise. Angelina told IANS, “I had the privilege of working with Irrfan Khan on the set of A Mighty Heart. He stood out for his generosity as an artist, which made it a pleasure to work in any scene with him. I remember the intensity of his commitment, and equally his smile. I send my condolences and my sympathy to his family, his friends, and all admirers of his work, in India and around the world.”
For those who don’t know, in A Might Heart Jolie played Marianne Pearl while Irrfan impressed all with his portrayal of Karachi police chief Zeeshan Kazmi. It was a critically-acclaimed film that was screened out of competition at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. On top of that, it is widely considered one of the earliest films to train the global spotlight on Irrfan Khan.

Irrfan’s elder son Babil thanked all for their support and condolence messages as his family is faced with the most difficult challenge. He mentioned that since he is not able to reply because his vocabulary is dizzy, he assures that he will get back to everyone but not right now.
