Jackie Chan Pretended To Be In Pain Just To Stay Close To Bruce Lee While Filming Enter the Dragon, Who Wouldn’t?
Having had an opportunity to shoot with Bruce Lee is something that Jackie Chan will boost about throughout his life and why not! It’s something to be very proud of. Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee were together in a film called Enter The Dragon. And recently, Jackie Chan shared an interesting bit from the sets. He said that he faked being injured just to be close to Bruce Lee. Enter The Dragon was the last completed film of Bruce Lee while it marked Jackie Chan’s entry in Hollywood as he was the stuntman in the film.

In a video that had been shared by Bruce Lee’s daughter Shannon on social media, Jackie Chan can be heard saying, “I was young doing ‘Enter the Dragon’ fighting with Bruce Lee. I was behind the camera and I would just see Bruce Lee… Then I ran and suddenly it was all black in front of my eyes. He had hit just one stick right on my head. I felt dizzy and I looked at Bruce Lee he kept acting until the director said cut.”

Adding further, Chan says, “He then threw his stick, turned around and said ‘Oh my God’ and ran to me and lifted me up and said sorry. I was not in pain anymore. I was a young guy and very tough. But I pretended to be in pain so that Bruce Lee holds me for as long as he can. I kept pretending the whole day.”

This video was a part of Flashback Friday that Bruce Lee’s daughter put up on social media. Enter The Dragon released in 1973 and it still remains one of the most iconic films of Bruce Lee.
