2020 was a tough year for everyone. Across the world, many lost their loved ones, family members, especially due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Even though the pandemic took several lives, quite many also passed away due to other illness, and tragic accidents. With the year nearing an end, we remember every Hollywood celebrity who left for their heavenly abode. From Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman to NBA star Kobe Bryant, here’s a list of popular celebrities who passed away in 2020.
Kobe Bryant- The NBA player passed away on January 26 in Calabasas, California, alongside his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna. The father-daughter duo died at 41 in a helicopter crash with seven others.
Ian Holm- The Lord of the rings actor died on June 19 from an illness related to Parkinson’s disease. He was 88.
Nick Codero- The Broadway star died of COVID-19 complications on July 5. He was 41.
Kelly Preston - Jerry Maguire actress, and John Travolta’s wife died after a long battle with cancer on July 12. She was 57.
Naya Rivera- The Glee star died in July. She was 33 and is survived by her 4-year-old son Josey Dorsey. Naya was on a boating trip with her son at Lake Piru and was declared missing on July 8. She was pronounced dead, five days later.
Galyn Gorg- The RoboCop 2 actress died of cancer one day before her 56th Birthday on July 14.
Phyllis Somerville- The Big C alum died on July 16 of natural causes. She was 76.
Chadwick Boseman- The Black Panther star died on August 28. He was 43. Boseman passed away after a long battle with colon cancer.
Conchata Ferrel - Two and a Half Men actress died on October 12 due to complications of cardiac arrest. She was 77 years old.
Sean Connery- The actor known for his portrayal of James Bond passed away in October. The news of his death was confirmed on October 31. He died at age 90 after a long illness.
Brax- The Hollywood rapper born by the name Braxton Baker died in November at 21.
Diego Maradona- The legendary football player died on November 25. The Argentinian soccer legend was 60 years old.
David Prowse- The actor, who played Darth Vader in the Stars Wars Trilogy died on November 28 after battling a short illness. He was 85.
Whitney Collins- The Bad Girls Club fame died on December 3, in a hospital close to Boston. She was 33 and the cause of her death is unknown.
Natalie Desselle Reid- B.A.P.S and Madea's Big Happy Family, the sitcom Eve star passed away on December 7. She died at the age of 53 after a valiant battle with colon cancer.
Jeremy Bulloch-Star Wars trilogy actor, who portrayed Boba Fett died on December 17. He was 75. Bulloch suffered from health complications after living with Parkinson's disease for several years.
