Martin Scorsese's Daughter Pulls A Classic Troll; Wraps His Christmas Present In Marvel-Themed Paper
Who doesn't like Marvel films? Well, we don't know any other but Martin Scorsese definitely isn't a big fan of the superhero franchise. The Irishman director had once said that Marvel films are not any form of cinema. In October, Martin had stated that he doesn't watch Marvel movies and that they don't make up for cinema. He received a lot of flak for the same and then, in an open letter, he had explained his views. Now, the episode has made a comeback with Martin's daughter trolling him on the same, this Christmas.

Martin's 19-year-old daughter Francesca took to her Instagram stories to share a picture of his father's Christmas presents. She had wrapped all the gifts on Marvel-themed paper. She wrote on it, "Look what I'm wrapping my dad's XMas gifts in." Superheroes like Captain America, The Hulk and others are on the wrapping paper. LOL! In October, when Martin was asked about Marvel films, he had stated, " don’t see them. I tried, you know? But that’s not cinema. Honestly, the closest I can think of them, as well made as they are, with actors doing the best they can under the circumstances, is theme parks. It isn’t the cinema of human beings trying to convey emotional, psychological experiences to another human being."

Then in an op-ed published in New York Times, Martin Scorcese had explained himself and his thoughts on Marvel films. "Many films today are perfect products manufactured for immediate consumption,” he wrote. “Many of them are well made by teams of talented individuals. All the same, they lack something essential to cinema: the unifying vision of an individual artist," he wrote.
