Shahs of Sunset star Nema Vand, who said that he grew up with Meghan Markle in Los Angeles, shared quite a few memories from back then on the ‘Reality Life With Kate Casey’ podcast on Wednesday. He claimed that she dated one of his friends back in high school, but ghosted him afterward when she found fame on the show Suits. He also called her a kind, sweet girl and was hence surprised to find out about the drama around her and Prince Harry’s decision to step down as Royal members.
Nema Vand addressed Meghan Markle and said that if she’s listening to this, she really upset their friend Gabe. Us Magazine quoted Nema Vand saying on the podcast, “My friend Gabe that I grew up with dated Meghan in high school, and he said that after she got on Suits, they were friends for years afterward. And he was like, ‘Yeah, she kind of, like, ghosted me after Suits,’ and it, like, really hurt his feelings. I got the sense that Gabe really valued her friendship.”
Nema asked that if Meghan is listening, that she should reach out to Gabe. He further added that while his school was an all-boys school, Meghan attended a sister school and that she was only a grade above him. Recalling old memories, he said, “Meghan was amazing, a woman among girls. Everyone was in love with her. She was sweet and very kind. She knew what she was doing. She toyed with our hearts masterfully.”
He also opened up about a party in which both he and Meghan were present. He claimed that she sat on his lap and got nose-to-nose with him. “For a 16-year-old guy, that is an emotional moment. She said to me in Farsi, ‘You are so beautiful.’ I asked her, ‘How do you know Farsi?’ She said, ‘I learned it for you.’ Then she walked away,” he said.
