The late Michael Jackson needs no introduction. And fans have been eagerly waiting to witness his tale on the big screen. Well, the wait is finally over as the late icon’s 26-year-old nephew Jaafar Jackson in the Antonie Fuqua-directed film biopic. Fuqua announced the confirmation of the film via his Instagram. Interestingly, Jaafar is the son of Jermaine Jackson, who is the brother of Michael and a member of The Jackson 5. the singer and songwriter has been singing and dancing since the age of 12 and has showcased himself singing tunes from Sam Cooke to Marvin Gaye along with the originals, reported Deadline. 

Furthermore, the report also suggests that the film will not shy away from the controversies of Jackson's life, the paedophile accusations that haunted his latest years up to his death in 2009 at age 50, from cardiac arrest caused by a cocktail of sedatives.

Well, the film might turn off to be a hard-to-swallow pill for his fans. Only time will tell what the director has planned for his audience. 

While MJ estate’s presence gives rights to Jackson’s musical catalogue, and it has even raised some questions about the degree of protectiveness towards the film. But, the film will certainly explore the intricacies of MJ’s life to give a dramatic edge and enough truthfulness to stand up to scrutiny while not turning off fans of Jackson's songs and musical legacy.

As per the reports, Michael will also be driven by Jackson's musical accomplishments, which gives the film global potential similar to 'Bohemian Rhapsody', which grossed over $900 million worldwide, boosted the song catalogue of Queen, got a Best Picture Oscar nomination and a win for star Rami Malek.
