American pop singer and a brother from The Jonas Brothers band, Nick Jonas was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes 14 years ago. On that note, Nick took to his Instagram handle and shared this news with an elaborate note on his experience. Along with his experience, he also mentioned how he co-founded Beyond Type 1 in 2015 for those who were diagnosed with diabetes. Since November is Diabetes Awareness Month, Nick Jonas urges his fans and followers to join his foundation in case one is diagnosed with diabetes.
His caption said that he diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes 14 years ago and that experience shaped his health and eating habits. As this Type 1 diabetes made him feel lonely and isolating, he co-founded Beyond Type 1 in 2015 so that no one feels alone with this diagnosis. Since November is Diabetes Awareness Month, he urges his fans and followers to join his foundation if you’re diagnosed with diabetes so that they can share the impactful of diabetes.
His long elaborate note read, “14 years ago this month I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. This experience has shaped how I approach my health - working out, eating well, and always thinking about my blood sugar and insulin needs. You can't always see what goes into managing an invisible illness, and Type 1 diabetes can feel lonely and isolating.
