Help! Any designers out there want to dress me for the Academy Awards? Need looks for the actual awards as well as various nominee events/parties during the week. Would love to work with an Indian/Pakistani designer but open to all. #oscars #womeninfilm #femalefilmmakerfriday— Smriti Mundhra (@SmritiMundhra) January 16, 2020
Oscars 2020 is drawing closer, and the prestigious award ceremony is all set to take place on February 9, 2020, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. With only a month to go, there had been a lot of excitement for the official announcement and the list of nominations for the 92nd Academy Awards. Finally, a few days ago, the final list of nominations for films and stars in the race for Oscars was released. While Ranveer Singh- Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy did not make the cut, it was still a proud moment as Indian- American filmmakers Smriti Mundhra and Sami Khan were nominated for their documentary titled St. Louis Superman.
The 33-minute documentary St. Louis Superman has been nominated along with other documentaries such as In the Absence, Learning To Skateboard in A Warzone, Life Overtakes Me and Walk Run Cha-Cha, in the Documentary Short Subject category. Now, it looks like filmmaker Smriti Mundhra is looking for a designer to dress her for the Academy Awards. She took to her Twitter handle and wrote, “Help!
