Padma Lakshmi’s Response To A Magazine That Mistook Her For Priyanka Chopra Is Absolutely SAVAGE
We live in a world where goof-ups are a common thing, and who knows it better than our celebrities?  Well, mistaking a celebrity for another is quite a regular thing in both Bollywood and Hollywood. While some take it sportingly, there are also a few exceptions that happen to get offended. Popular author and TV actress Padma Lakshmi belongs to the former category. It all happened after Padma attended the New Yorker’s celebrity cartoon takeover issue; however, a magazine mistook her for Priyanka Chopra by tagging the latter on her picture.

As a response to the same, Padma Lakshmi took to her Instagram account and shared a screenshot of the blunder made by the magazine. The picture was a monochrome portrait of Padma Lakshmi that had the Barfi actress’ account tagged on it. Padma’s hilarious caption read, “Thank you to the illustrious “@nydailynews” for the shoutout. I know to some we all look alike, but... #desilife #justindianthings.” LOL! It turns out the original post has been deleted. Check out the picture below:

Padma’s post received mixed reactions from across, while some laughed at it, a lot of them were disappointed. “Oh no,” wrote actor Natalie Portman, while a user commented, “This is the equivalent of tagging Christina Aguilera in a photo of Britney Spears.” An angry user wrote, “This is ridiculous. It makes me so angry.” (ALSO READ - Priyanka Chopra Jonas' Beige Overcoat Is Her Favourite This Winter Season)

In an earlier conversation with TOI, Padma had raved praises for PeeCee.  “I had lunch with Priyanka once years ago. She is lovely; we both also share the same stylist. I am so excited to see Priyanka on my TV. In many ways, she has gotten much further than I did and I am so happy for her,” she said.
